What I Do
I have the joy of serving as the Director of Assimilation for the students of Hunter Street. This large word simply means that I get to help students find their place to plug in within our church and more specifically in our student ministry. Whether it is helping students find a Sunday school class, get plugged into student choirs or find a specific ministry to serve in- I am your girl!
Fav Parts of My Job
Discipleship! I adore sitting in a small group with our students and digging into God’s word. It is a true joy to see our students grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Missions! Our city allows us many opportunities to act as the hands and feet of Jesus. It is a privilege to get to serve alongside our students in carrying out acts of service for the name sake of Christ.
Family Fact
I am a newlywed! I became “Mrs. Amy Byrd” in October of 2011 so our family is a new one! My husband, William, and I are blessed to have two families that love spending time together, laughing and eating!
You Probably Didn’t Know
I have always said that I would love to be a storm chaser.
Give me a cool van, cold diet coke and teach me how to read storm radar and I am good to go!
Guilty Pleasure
I LOVE to write papers. Give me a topic, guidelines and an afternoon with coffee and I will knock out some essays!
I also love to watch Food Network. Cupcake Wars and Chopped are my favorites!
