Disciple Now 2012

Host Homes are still needed for DNow weekend, if you are interested in this or would like to receive more information about what is involved please email Becca.

Parents-

I wanted to take a moment and let you know how excited we are about Disciple Now this year. We have spent hundreds of hours as a staff dreaming, shaping, and putting a plan into action for this once a year event. We hope that it is an amazing experience for your students and for you as well. Our hope is to take this theme, Abandon, and weave it through our student ministry this year. We believe until you Abandon it all for Christ, you will never experience the JOY Buddy is preaching about this year.

That being said, tomorrow, February 1, is a major milestone for us. We are closing registration on that date. Currently we have over 400 students registered and paid. We will start placing them in their final homes, make sure we have enough food, and finalize the t-shirt size orders for the weekend. It seems every year people try to add at the last minute and while we will “always make room for one more”, it adds additional cost that we don’t account for by adding after the deadlines. Please make every effort to sign up and pay for your students and their friends by February 1. It is our joy and pleasure to plan this every year. We look forward to seeing the fruit in the lives of teenagers and their families as we all consider what we need to ABANDON in our lives.

Chi Alpha Tour

Deadline for registration is February 26. We are doing this with the understanding that God may move in the lives of students who have never participated in Chi Alpha before. Please discuss the importance of tour, the mission trip, and being involved in this amazing ministry. If you have questions, contact David DeVane this week.

New Website

We have launched a new look for our website. We will begin in February a daily blog by our ministry staff helping both students and parents along the journey of life. We may ask you to contribute from time to time.

Sunday School

We have a lot of momentum in our Sunday school ministry right now. Thank you for making this a family priority. If you have not plugged in, I encourage you to get involved. We have just started new topics in high school and it is a great time to plug in!

2012 Medical Release Forms

If you have not yet turned in a medical release form for your student(s), please do so as soon as possible. The forms have to be renewed each calendar year, so we need one for everybody. This medical form is required for all church activities. Notaries are available in the student and main church offices.

Download and print the Medical Release Form.
