Well hello parents and curious ones!

First let me apologize for the “absence” of photos. Who knew that it would be so hard to upload photos in this day and time. We have abandoned our mission and decided to just blog all that is going on!

It has been amazing just sitting and having conversations with your teenagers. I have grown just by being here with them. I have watched as they have interacted in their family groups with people they didn’t even know. Let me tell you “they are not shy at all!” In our church groups they are talkative and very inquisitive. The rain has moved on so they all got the full effect of the son. I have been so impressed as they have done everything without grumbling and complaining. Tonight they finally got on the front row in worship. The adults however seemed to gravitate away from the loud speakers!

Please pray for us as we unpack repentance and how to take the biblical truths home and become better sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, and leaders in our community and church.

I’m so humbled that God has allowed me to be on this journey. Thanks for allowing me to invest into the lives of your treasures.

Well, til tomorrow- goodnite

Today the students, who are all on the BLUE CREW, battled through water wars during recreation and have enjoyed their time with the family groups.

Ed Newton challenged us to passionately pursue the Lord and it is only by His extravagant grace to us that we can even live for Him!

We continue to covet your prayers! We have great expectations to see God move in mighty ways.

For His glory we serve,

Hey All!

Well we are settling in after a great first day at Student Life Camp. The students had their first Bible study in family groups as well as the first worship service. It was a great day.

Tonight we watched as your kids were in the front of the crowd and boy did they worship. It was as if they were singing for an audience of one!

Ed Newton our speaker did an exposition of John 6 tonight. He was spot on for the students. He addresses four groups that encountered Jesus: the consumer, the confused, the casual, and the committed. It was apparent the students wrestled with with group they identified with.

We are reminding them to eat well, sleep well, and go for it everyday. Please pray for us tomorrow as we once again encounter the transforming power of God’s Word. May we all get “flipped” this week.

Smokey

* please be patient with the photos. We don’t have a connection to upload until Monday. Till then check out the Student Life page!!
